What’s Special About the Darkmoon Faire in SoD?
The Season of Discovery (SoD for short) has been running in WoW Classic since November 30, 2023. The Darkmoon Faire takes place in SoD twice as often as the usual schedule in WoW Classic. On the SoD realms, it will take place every first and third week of the month. Update December 29, 2023: The Darkmoon Faire on the SoD realms takes place every two weeks.
Since the maximum level in SoD Phase 1 is 25, not all Darkmoon Faire rewards are available. The following rewards are available in SoD Phase 1 in exchange for Darkmoon Faire Prize Ticket:
- Darkmoon Storage Box (can only be purchased once)
- Darkmoon Flower
- Minor Darkmoon Prize
- Last Month's Mutton

When Will the Darkmoon Faire Take Place in 2024?
The set-up for the Darkmoon Faire in WoW Classic always begins on the first Friday of the month and lasts three days. There are no vendors etc. available during this period. After the three-day set-up phase, the Darkmoon Faire starts on Monday and runs until the following Sunday.
In SoD the Darkmoon Faire takes place every two weeks. The arrival of the Darkmoon Faire is announced by the barkers Melnan Darkstone in Ironforge and Kruban Darkblade in Orgrimmar.

Where Does the Darkmoon Faire Take Place in WoW Classic?
In WoW Classic, the Darkmoon Faire (DMF for short) takes place alternately in Mulgore and Elwynn Forest. In Elwynn Forest, the Darkmoon Faire will be set up south of Goldshire at approximately (42 | 70). In Mulgore the Darkmoon Faire is set up southwest of Thunder Bluff at approximately (37 | 38).
What Darkmoon Faire Buffs and Fortunes Are Available in WoW Classic?
As befits a proper fair, there is also a fortune teller at the Darkmoon Faire in WoW Classic. Sayge can be found in Elwynn Forest at (41 | 69) and Mulgore at (36 | 38).
At Sayge you get 2-hour buffs and a fortune on top of that. During your visit, Sayge will ask you two questions with multiple answer options. The choice of your answers determines which buff you get. After receiving the buff, you will also receive a Darkmoon fortune from Sayge. There are 29 of them in total. Most of them offer a clever saying such as “Those with simple tastes are always satisfied with the best.” or “Time is nothing; timing is everything.”.
However, four of the fortunes start a quest in which you will receive an Mysterious Lockbox as a reward at the end. The items it contains scale with your level. These can be food, crafting components, potions, and random green items. However, there are also reports about included blue items, recipes, and bags.

What are Darkmoon Faire Prize Ticket?
Darkmoon Faire Prize Ticket is a currency in WoW Classic that can be exchanged for valuable items at the Darkmoon Faire. Darkmoon Faire Prize Ticket is earned by completing repeatable quests at the Darkmoon Faire.
Each of the repeatable quests belongs to one of five tiers. The tier determines how many Darkmoon Faire Prize Ticket you receive per turn-in and what minimum level is required for the quest.
Regardless of the tier, you also receive 100 reputation with the Darkmoon Faire faction with every turn-in – but only up to a certain threshold. Once this value is reached, you will no longer receive reputation with this tier, but you will still receive tickets. Reputation at the Darkmoon Faire does not provide you with any additional bonuses or benefits, aside from the merchant discount available with each reputation faction.

Four quest givers at the Darkmoon Faire provide repeatable quests. These quest givers are Yebb Neblegear, Kerri Hicks, Rinling and Chronos.
Quests from Yebb Neblegear (Animal Parts)
Yebb Neblegear is one of the quest givers at the Darkmoon Faire. You deliver him animal parts. In Elwynn Forest he is located at (40 | 69) and in Mulgore at (37 | 39). The following quests are available from Yebb Neblegear:

What are Darkmoon Faire Card Decks and Trinkets?
You can collect complete card decks and then exchange them for a trinket at the Darkmoon Faire. Darkmoon Faire cards can drop in the world. In addition to normal cards, each card deck also contains an ace. Aces drop from bosses in dungeons, among other things.
How Does Darkmoon Faire Reputation Work in WoW Classic?
Reputation at the Darkmoon Faire does not provide you with any benefits other than the normal merchant discounts.
Each player starts at a neutral reputation level (0/3,000). The Darkmoon Faire turn-in quests will give you 100 reputation per turn-in up to a certain threshold. This way you can increase your reputation up to Friendly (5,999/6,000). After that, you can only get more reputation points by handing in decks of cards, which also gives you 150 reputation per turn-in.

What Darkmoon Faire Pets are Available in WoW Classic?
At the Darkmoon Faire you can secure three companion pets, all of them frogs. The three pets available are the Wood Frog, the Tree Frog, and the Jubling.
How to Get Wood Frog & Tree Frog
You can get the wood frog and the tree frog from Flik. This is a little orc boy who runs around the fairgrounds. Once you have found him, you can buy the following items from him:

How to Get the Jubling
You will receive the hidden quest Spawn of Jubjub from Morja. Morja can be found in Elwynn Forest at (43 | 70) and in Mulgore at (35 | 35).
To complete the quest you need 2x Dark Iron Ale Mug. You can buy the item from Plugger Spazzring in the Blackrock Depths, among others.
Follow these steps to complete the quest. IMPORTANT: Do not click on Morja beforehand as you may lose one of the mugs.
- Right-click on a mug. When the hand starts to glow, place the mup on the ground next to Morja and wait for her frog Jubjub to hop over to the mug.
- As soon as the frog is back, Morja will offer you a quest.
- Accept the quest and turn in the second mug.
- The quest is now complete and you will receive Unhatched Jubling Egg as a reward. Seven days later, a jubling hatches from the egg.
What Darkmoon Faire Mini-Games are Available in WoW Classic?
The Darkmoon Faire in WoW Classic features the following two mini-games:
- Blastenheimer 5000 Ultra Cannon: Catapult yourself out of a cannon and try to land in the target area.
- Tank Battle Simulator: Summon a tank using the Tonk Control Consoles and engage in battle with other players.
